The facts of the matter are pretty plain. Rual destroyed a Raven with a Blackbird. A raven that was driven by an ex-space invader character who got ebayed. Rual reported the engagement honestly based on what he actually knew.
I for one don't care about past crappy stories and such. The facts here are simply;
Rual told the truth. Got flamed extensively by almost the entire SPVD corp but has been vindicated.
SPVD rather than saying ... "Sorry Rual for calling you a liar and every name under the sun."
Are now trying to justify their character assassination by dragging up old examples of things Rual may or may not have done months ago.
And I agree with Halseth.
Boasting about infiltrating snakes into corps is not a sure route to improve one's public image.

This is actually a discussion that has been had at length in our internal forums Myrmex.
When I make a press release henceforth I am going to be very good and not get drawn into spirited interchange with the muppet show.
But in this case its just good old NVA alliance loyalty for me to stick up for Rual who has been targetted for character assassination by the Biobuddy space cadets.
I would expect people to stick up for me if I was getting multi-mullered by a gank gang.
Bottom line here is as I said;
Rual told the truth
SPVD called him a liar
Rual was proven to have told the truth
I really don't think letting these smack-talking asshats get away with telling lies and practising character assassination with impunity is the best way to promote the unity of an alliance.
Its sometimes about standing up and being counted mr Myrmex.
And though sure, Its sometimes an ugly business swapping retorts with immature kiddies like Trap .... but I simply don't agree with letting bullies win.
I don't back down in rl.
Why the hell should I back down in a game?

Hurrah! Now Trap and Molly have both decided to ignore me ... I'm making progress. 2 muppets neutralised in 2 days.
If it carries on at this rate maybe we can get back to sensible discussions.

I think thats the point Setec. There really isn't any way to know if a character has been ebayed and is being operated by somebody new. If Rual recognised the name as ex-Space Invaders and the engagement happened as he described it then he really is totally in the right here.
Unless anyone can prove that Rual *knew* the account had been pre-ebayed to somebody else and was just adding the Space Invader line to make you look stupid then I can't see he has done anything wrong.
Thats really why I got involved here.
I saw Rual getting fiercely flamed by Space Invaders who said he had lied about the whole incident.
I advised them (if you re-read my comments in that thread) to wait and see before knee jerking smack and accusations.
As it turned out it seems Rual was telling the truth and this ex space invader character run by a new owner did indeed lose his Raven.
Rual's account matchs the strict defination of his thread title.
And I think thats the main thing here.
PS ... for the record I don't doubt you are an honest Guy Setec, I never did, but I don't think any past boasting or exageration that Rual did, warrents the flaming and abuse he wrongfully received from the Space Invaders corp yesterday. I think that was an appalling overeaction and it demeaned the corporation you built up.
